Two principles: 1.) The Fast eat the slow - The government was slow. The people were fast.I can see this in so many ways within the younger generation of doctrinally hungry men in evangelicalism today who have become frustrated with denominational structures and politics. The churches that effectively marry text driven and "every member a missionary" are exponetially growing while churches that are opperating with what Ed Stetzer calls "Budgets, bodies, and buildlings" church growth model are hemmoraging their membership to these other churches.
2.) Influence beats control-In Egpyt, the government couldn't control the people though they shut down the grid. The people had influence that far surpassed the strong arm tactics that have prevailed for 30 years. I wonder how this is in evangelicalism today?
