The word of God is indeed living. Jesus, through the Spirit and the Word, has been teaching me so much about Him within the crucible of being a child of God, husband, father of 2, and shepherd.
Last night, Louie Giglio adressed the 2011 SBC Pastor's Conference. The Holy Spirit, through Louie's handling of John 14, Colossians 2, and Acts 2, reminded me of some of these essential truths:
Christ IN you, the hope of glory.
Apart from me you can do nothing.
The same Spirit that rose Christ from the dead now lives within me.
The Gospel: God gives life to what is dead and then lives His life through what He has made alive. God is glorified as the initiator of redemption, Jesus carries out the redemption, and the Spirit causes one to live out the new identity of redemption.
Though you may have seen it before, remember the following truth today:
