A Mormon, An Atheist, and how a first date changed everything

Last week was a blast!

Our Precept Ministries campus in Chattanooga, Tennessee had several different things going on throughout the week.

First, we had our Precept Study Program. Folks came to campus to study the book of 2 Timothy Precept Upon Precept together. Folks spend a day studying a lesson of our Precept Upon Precept Bible Study. After diving in, they come together in a group discussion to talk through how it applies. We were walking through 2 Timothy which always gets me fired up!

In addition to our Precept Study Program, I had the honor of assessing a new group of Precept Entrust Coaches. These are Precept Upon Precept Leaders throughout the United States that have been making disciples and building the kingdom of God through inductive Bible study. They came with the 2 Timothy study completed. They received training from our team and see several effective discussions in action. Then, it's their turn - our team divides the group up and they become the ones that lead the PUP discussion. As they do, our Precept Training Team assess and coaches them. When they leave, these folks will go home and plant and launch new Precept Groups within their cities by developing and training leaders within their Precept Group!

It was a full week!

I also had the opportunity to connect with over 10,000 Precept Bible Study Leaders throughout the United States! It's crazy. Last month, a member of our Leadership Develop Team here at Precept threw out the idea of connecting with Precept Bible Study Leaders on Facebook live. She thought it'd be a good opportunity to encourage each other in the Word and share stories of what the Lord is doing around the country. We were blown away - over 7,000 people connected and interacted with us. Our big idea - Precept Leaders Depend on the Holy Spirit. This month, we continued our conversation. This time we walked through portions of Jesus' prayer in John 17. There is also a FREE download that we walked through during the first thirty minutes of our time together. 

After walking through John 17, I then had a great conversation with my friend Judi! I know you'll be encouraged to hear how Jesus saved her and sent her on mission. Just a quick snapshot - it involves Mormonism in Utah, atheism and sowing the wild oats, the first date with a hot doctor,  a shopping spree, and then a trip around the world!
