Views from the Galilee

Views from the Galilee

I've been waiting and waiting to post some things about our recent trip to Israel. I thought of blogging while we were there, but it was just too much to take in, Y'all! I thought about posting a compelling Instagram post every day, but that, too, was too much. So, some of you got some updates through mine and Becky's Instastoriey. For the rest of you - we wanted to share some of the things that the Lord did on our trip.

For over 40 years, Precept Ministries International has been taking people to the Holy Land to engage with God in the land of the book. Though Becky and I have been involved with Precept for over twenty years, we NEVER thought we'd have the opportunity to go to Israel, let alone with Precept.

We had the opportunity to serve as bus shepherds on the tour. Shout out to the Gray Bus, Bus 2! We quickly became a family as we interacted with God - through opening the Bible at various locations, through jumping in the history with master tour guides, and through sharing our Precept stories and lives with each other.

We're all still processing.

Each time we open up the Word, the Lord just vividly takes us to where we actually walked, ate, and walked some more. Friends, it was spectacular.

The first portion of our trip was in the Galilee, where Jesus set up shop to do his ministry. The second part of the trip we called Jerusalem as our home base. I captured some video for Precept Leaders on the Precept Training facebook page. There are some snippets of Kay Arthur teaching at Dan, David Arthur on the Mt. of Beattitudes, and me on the Sea of Galilee!

This is just the first one - we'll be posting the second part of our trip in July! Check it out.
